A banger and a half of a film honestly.
The series started off with an enthralling performance from John, pulling the watcher in and then bringing out the waterworks at the end of the first episode. Going from strength to strength, the whole production never let up and came out with a satisfying conclusion with further room for development in the future. Fans online have already called for a second season, and rumours are flying about on a Netflix takeover for the renewal*.
I would highly recommend the series to everyone interested in the gritty, powerful and dynamic struggle of the everyday working class man. The lives of many such people are explored in intrinsic detail, and never seen before truths about our society are brought to the forefront.
Much of the musical character has a very professional sound, adding to the rich story at show. A modern day masterpiece, redefining the assembly genre forever. I foresee a real cultural shift after this one, with a global awakening to the danger of video waves predicted to shake the foundation of the neoliberal capitalist order.
6/10 at best
(proceeds from the film will be going towards the legal fees of Gareth the Horse, one of the infamous faces of the leave campaigned currently in jail for war crimes at the ICC)
